Geo programme: Pemra bans Inaam Ghar for three days
The programme will remain suspended from June 28 to June 30
ISLAMABAD:
The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) on Monday banned Geo TV’s ‘Inaam Ghar’ for three days for continuously violating the code of conduct.
The programme will remain suspended from June 28 to June 30.
According to a Pemra handout, the decision has been taken after hundreds of complaints were received by the authority, drawing its attention towards the programme airing inappropriate contents, including showing a scene of a girl committing suicide, letting go on air an indecent call of a female caller and uttering of abusive sentence by a participant of the show to win a prize.

The infamous host of the show, Aamir Liaquat Hussain, has also been directed to offer an unconditional apology on-air and provide an assurance that he would not violate the code of conduct in the future. In case of non-compliance, the handout said, the programme would be taken off air permanently.
