Over pricing: Another 141 food outlets fined

Since the start of Ramzan, 3,316 persons have been fined of Rs6,279,000

The Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA) teams on Saturday fined another 141 shopkeeper for over-pricing and selling substandard food items.

An ICTA spokesperson said that a total of 290 food outlets were randomly inspected, out of which 141 were fined Rs245,000 for violating the official rate lists and hygiene regulations.


Since the start of Ramzan, 3,316 persons have been fined of Rs6,279,000.

In continuation of the efforts made by ICT Administration regarding actions taken against the profiteers and persons involved in adulteration, the officers of ICT Administration actively took actions against the profiteers for overcharging in selling daily routine commodities/essential items all over Islamabad.
