PESHAWAR:
Plans to establish for Ecol Fatima Al Fihri Model School Mardan and Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Sports Complex, Mardan have been approved and the relevant authorities have been directed to start the work with immediate effect.. This was stated in a handout issued by the nformation Directorate on Saturday.

The handout read K-P Elementary and Secondary Education Department issued special notifications to complete the task within the deadline. The projects were approved by Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Muhammad Atif Khan at a meeting in the city.

The meeting was attended by the Elementary and Secondary Education Additional Secretary (dev) Qaiser Alam, Additional Secretary (est) Shahid Sohail, Chief Planning Officer Idrees Khan, Mardan DC, BISE Mardan Chairperson Mushtaq Ahmad and Mardan district education officer female. The cost for construction of the school is estimated to be Rs220 million while that of the sports complex is estimated to be Rs299.29 million. The work would be completed in a year.


Private schools: Minister assures of improvements  

The school would consist of senior girls and junior girls sections, a girls hostel, an examination hall, the principal’s residence, cafeteria and a guard room. The sports complex would have a gymnasium, cricket and football grounds and basketball, volleyball, badminton and tennis courts.

The projects, including those of beautification and infrastructural development in Mardan, were also discussed in the meeting.
