Effective Measures: CJP wants security for judges tightened
The CJ will hear cases in the Lahore registry next week

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Anwar Zaheer Jamali directed on Friday the Chief Secretary and IGP Punjab to beef up the public security in general and judges in particular. According to the statement issued by the Supreme Court, the Chief Secretary and IGP Punjab were called by chief justice on Friday at the Supreme Court Branch Registry, in Lahore. The CJ will hear cases in the Lahore registry next week. In the backdrop of the kidnapping of the son of the Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court Sindh in Karachi, the CJP directed the Chief Secretary and IGP Punjab to take effective measures to tighten the security of judges and courts. He also emphasized upon the need for improving the law and order situation.
