Monsoon showers expected in K-P, FATA next week

Provincial Disaster Management Authority has directed the administrations of all the districts to remain alert

PESHAWAR: Widespread rains and thundershower are expected in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Fata during the first spell of monsoon rains that are expected to start on Monday. The downpour is expected in other parts of the country as well, including Punjab and Kashmir. It is likely to start from upper parts of the country and will spread in central and southern parts.  The Provincial Disaster Management Authority has directed the administrations of all the districts to remain alert during the coming week as there is high probability of flash floods in hilly areas and urban flooding in large cities.
