Pakistan has said the arrest of Indian spy Kulbushan Jadhav was a solid proof of India perpetrating terrorism in Pakistan, saying the concerns were genuine and based on facts.

Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria was reacting to US envoy Richard Olson's remarks that Indian role in Afghanistan was overestimated in Pakistan, in his news briefing on Thursday, Radio Pakistan reported.

Zakaria recalled that the spy had made confessions in this regard, adding high ranking US officials also admitted that India was fanning instability in Pakistan.

The spokesperson also urged the Nuclear Suppliers Group to consider entry applications of Pakistan and India simultaneously, and in an even handed manner, keeping in view the region's strategic stability.

NSG membership: ‘Pakistan wants unbiased, fair consideration’

Zakaria said it has been Pakistan’s consistent position that the NSG membership for the non-NPT states must be dealt with in accordance with a single, uniform, non-discriminatory and fair criteria.

Nonetheless, the spokesperson said Pakistan wanted unconditional talks with the neighbouring country for the resolution of all outstanding issues.

Pakistan, he said, was deeply concerned at the human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and had raised this matter at several international forums, adding the issue will figure in any future talks with New Delhi.

When queried about talks with the Afghan side on border management, Zakaria said they had taken necessary steps to ensure border management, terming it a key component to counter terrorism and stop infiltration of terrorists.

He that Pakistan was still hosting three million refugees, saying some of the refugee camps had become security risks as the terrorists were finding refuge there.

Zakaria stressed that the Afghan government supported by international community should create the pull factor for the return and reintegration of the refugees to their homeland.

To a question about the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, the spokesperson said the mega development project will not only benefit Pakistan and China but the entire region. Therefore, he added, no one should have any concerns on it.

Sunil | 7 years ago | Reply Kulbhushan Yadav no doubt has been kidnapped from Iran, tutored confession with gun to his head, not allowing consular access, and with recent Iran's letter, not revealing its contents proves Pakistan is hiding, which it does, supplying nuclear materials to North Korea, Osama Bin Laden was hiding in Abottabad, and Pakistan was in denial.
OSD | 7 years ago | Reply @Buzzkill: So the incompetent Indian officer Kulbushan Jhadav, who was sent as the indian James Bond, has been disowned by his people? The only laughable things in this were the way he smilingly confessed to his evil activities and then his people abandoned him.
