
This was decided at a meeting between TEVTA Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh and a delegation of the Asian Development Bank, during its visit to TEVTA Secretariat on Monday. The delegation included Central and West Asia Department Director Ms Rie Hiraoka and Pakistan Resident Mission Senior Project Officer Ms Ismat Raza. TEVTA Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmed Qureshi was also present. Sheikh said that the delegation had discussed in detail possibilities of cooperation between the TEVTA and the ADB. “The ADB will support us in providing training to the youth, formulating industry-institute linkages, teacher training and placement of TEVTA graduates in industrial units,” he said.
He said that the authority had completed the targets given by the World Bank for the PSDP for 2015-16. “An industry partnership programme has also been launched successfully in order to provide quality technical education. Restructuring of TEVTA institutes,” he said.
