HYDERABAD:
Two brothers were killed when the wall of a house in Katcha Qila, the oldest fort in Hyderabad, collapsed on Sunday. The deceased have been identified as 17-year-old Muhammad Faizan and 14-year-old Muhammad. The two died on the way to the hospital. The government’s repeated efforts over the last several decades have failed to evacuate people from the fort, which is now a densely populated area. Despite being a heritage site, the fort is decaying and no conservation works are being carried out.
