The elected members, all belonging to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), held a meeting in a private office here and demanded Jahandad’s resignation.
The board members had time and again asked Jahandad to mend his ways and take interest in matters related to the residents of the cantonment areas, said a press release issued by the RCB members after their meeting.
The elected members have also urged the local PML-N leadership to direct the vice-president to resign from his position or they would move a no-confidence motion against him.
They have held Jahandad responsible for the ongoing tension between the elected members and the unelected members of the RCB.
They noted that Jahandad had maintained an insulting behaviour with the board administration and the members.
They also maintained that there had been no developmental work in areas under the RCB limits since they were elected in April 2015.
The vice-president had also failed to get special grant from the RCB for development projects.
The elected members further claimed that Jahandad had also failed to address issues such as tax and land reforms, and water supply in the cantonment areas.
There are, however, reports that MNA Malik Abrar Ahmad was behind the move due to tussle among local PML-N leaders.
Ahmad, however, had denied the reports saying he had no issues with the RCB vice-president.
The Express Tribune tried to reach Jahandad a number of times but he was not available for comments.
