Drops Of Life: K-IV signing ceremony held

Finance minister Murad Ali Shah said that the project has been delayed due to multiple reasons

KARACHI: Local Government Minister Jam Khan Shoro promised that the water woes of the people of Karachi will soon be resolved as the K-IV project will provide 260 million gallons per day (MGD) of water by June, 2018. He said this at the signing ceremony of the contract of K-IV project between the project director Saleem Siddiqui and Brigadier Wasim of Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) at his office on Wednesday. Finance minister Murad Ali Shah said that the project has been delayed due to multiple reasons but now all the obstacles in handing over the contract to FWO have been removed and they will soon address the water shortage within two years.
