One piece three ways: Karma
In this feature we have three fashionistas showing us how to put together an item from a designers collection
While trends fade, style remains eternal and one piece can be put together in many different ways. In this feature we have three fashionistas showing us how to put together an item from a designers collection, according to their own individual style and taste!
The ‘Mummy Daddy’ tunic is from the Karma Nation Boyfriend Kurta Collection. This collection is inspired by menswear cuts, stitching details and fits and is named after one of the many types of boyfriends out there! It is a pale powder-pink batwing tunic in pure cotton with gold dime button detailing and sleeve loops.

I would describe my personal style as casual-smart, but at the same time comfort is my first priority. With this pale pink Karma kurta, I kept my look casual by pairing it with white embroidered straight pants. I added a pop of colour with my green, antique ring and yellow Vincci flats. I kept my hair and make-up natural. I would wear this to a normal day at the office.

My personal style is elegant yet glamourous. I do not follow trends, instead stick to my comfort zone and create trends. I paired this pink Karma mardana kurta with straight-cut pants. Nude was the colour of my accessories: I carried a nude clutch, clipped on nude pearl earrings and wore my nude Louboutin heels. I put on a blue Cartier watch to add a pop of colour to this subtle outfit. I blow-dried my hair in a natural way and added a pop of bright pink on my lips. I loved my outfit! It was casual yet dressy and I would definitely wear it to a dinner party.

My personal style is casual high street. I don’t like following rules as such – usually one would only see me in PJ’s and chappals. For this ensemble I was going for an ‘East meets West’ aesthetic. So I structured this Karma kurta with my Massimo Dutti belt, which gave it a super-chic look. I then added the MKN tulip shalwar and nude heels from Aldo. I kept my hair natural and for my make-up, I went for Bobbi Brown’s cream to create a dewy, natural look, using ‘Flat Out Fabulous’ MAC lipstick for a pop of colour. I would sport this look for a good office day or even a lunch.
