SUKKUR: Jacobabad police rescued on Tuesday a woman and her three daughters who were kidnapped in 2012 from Hyderabad.

The police on a tip-off raided the house of Qadir Bux Chachar in Jumo Khoso village, situated near Thull, and recovered Shabana and her three daughters, 12-year-old Dilshad, 10-year-old Noor Bano and six-year-old Mariam, said Bahoo Khoso police station SHO Bashir Magsi.

The police also arrested Chachar for illegal confining the women and her daughters for the last four years. In her statement, Shabana told the police that she was a resident of Phuleli Colony, Hyderabad, and married to a man named Amjad. In 2012, she and her daughters were travelling to Sehwan in a bus when another passenger offered them juice. After drinking it, all four lost their consciousness and woke up to find themselves confined in the house, from where they were recovered.

Bahoo Khoso police station head constable Asif Ali Soomro confirmed the recovery and said that the woman and her three daughters will be produced in the court today. According to the police, Amjad will also come to Jacobabad today to meet his wife and daughters.
