Ill-kept promises: Clerks reject provincial budget
They warned of expanding their protest if their demands remained unmet
LARKANA:
The All Pakistan Clerks Association, Larkana district, observed a pen-down strike on Monday, staged a sit-in and held a demonstration at Jinnah Bagh roundabout against the annual budget presented in the Sindh Assembly. They claimed the budget provided no relief to them. The protesters were led by Rafique Jatoi, Sabir Soomro and Ahmed Khan Chandio, who said that they were assured of upgrades, time scale for which the government functionaries also announced publicly. No such provisions exist in the budget, said a protester. They warned of expanding their protest if their demands remained unmet.
