Private schools: Minister assures of improvements  

He stated 25,000 teachers have been appointed across the province in the last three years

PESHAWAR:
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Muhammad Atif Khan has assured the private schools association their recommendations would be considered when drafting a suggested regularity authority. Addressing a delegation of the association on Monday at his office, the minister said government’s aim was not to restrict private organisations, but to improve their network. He said the government wanted to boost the quality of education in government schools and wanted to restore the confidence of parents to enroll their children in state-run entities. Atif also assured people would see real improvement in the coming two years. He said the appointment of teachers on merit and the establishment of a monitoring system were great achievements of this government. He stated 25,000 teachers have been appointed across the province in the last three years and authorities plan to hire more over the next two years.
