An additional district and sessions judge on Friday sought comments from the Nishtar Colony SHO on a petition filed by a man seeking a case against six people for allegedly abducting his wife.

Muhammad Younas submitted that he and Rukhsana were born Christians but had converted to Islam a few weeks ago and married.
He said Maqbool Masih, Ilyas Masih, Rehmat Masih and three other people had threatened to kill them for embracing Islam. A few days ago, he said, while he was at work they had kidnapped his wife.
Pakistan’s plurality at stake
He said they had also taken away valuables worth millions of rupees from the house. Younas said he had requested the SHO to register an FIR against them but he had done nothing in this regard.
