Law and order: DPOs get control of traffic police
The IGP was separately briefed by Muzaffargarh DPO and Lahore CCPO about recent incidents of violence against women

The Police Department has decided to end the posts of regional SP Traffic Police and handover the administrative and operational control of the traffic police to the DPOs concerned.
The decision was taken by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera at a meeting at the Central Police Office on Friday.
The meeting decided to ensure strict action against perpetrators of violence against women. It decided that filing of FIR, arrest of suspects and speedy completion of investigation should be ensued as per the Standard Operating Procedures.
