Not enough: ‘Minimum wage should be Rs20,000’
They also said prices of essential items had gone up with the start of Ramazan

The All Pakistan Workers’ Confederation urged political parties on Friday to help establish an egalitarian society. A meeting of the confederation was held at Bakhtiar Labour Hall on Friday. Trade union leaders Khurshid Ahmed, Rubeena Jameel, Chaudhry Muhammad Anwar, Akbar Ali Khan, Niaz Khan, Osama Tariq, Khushi Muhammad Khokhar and Haji Younus spoke on the occasion. A resolution was passed on the occasion demanding that the governments fix minimum wage at Rs20,000 and pension at Rs15,000. Participants of the meeting said a 10 per cent raise in salaries of government employees, announced in the federal budget, was not enough. They also said prices of essential items had gone up with the start of Ramazan.
