HEC decision: Al-Khair varsity barred from admitting students

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has stopped Al-Khair University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir from admitting any further students in the new session.
Students have also been advised not to take admission in the university or any branch, campus or affiliated college of the educational institute.
A spokesperson for the HEC said that the decision was taken after mismanagement was observed in the academic operations of the university. “Degrees awarded from 2016 onwards will not be recognised by the HEC,” the spokesperson said.
