Mayor’s Election: ECP announces election schedule
The polls will be held on June 29.

Six months after the local bodies’ elections in Sindh, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced its schedule for the election of mayor and deputy mayor in district councils, municipal and town committees as well as the district and municipal corporations on June 29. According to a press release issued by the election commission, the last date for filing of nomination papers will be June 16, while the election commission will publish a final list of candidates along with symbols on June 22. The polls will be held on June 29. The statement also said that the oath for the elected mayor/deputy mayor and chairman/ vice chairman of councils will take place on July 4.
