Rangers siege Farooq Sattar’s home in Karachi

It’s a part of strategy to criminalise MQM leadership, compel it to switch loyalty, says Rabita Committee convener

KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh surrounded Tuesday evening the streets leading towards Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) senior leader Dr Farooq Sattar’s home in Karachi’s PIB Colony.

A heavy contingent of the paramilitary forces was present in the neighbourhood closer to the MQM leader’s residence.

Party leaders Wasay Jalil and Nadeem Nusrat confirmed the development.

“[It is a] part of strategy to criminalise/terrorise MQM leadership to compel it to switch loyalty,” Rabita Committee convener Nadeem Nusrat tweeted.

Meanwhile, speaking to a private TV channel, Sattar said, “I will first speak to DG Rangers before facing the raiding party."

“This is not the right way to approach me. Are we the country’s enemies?”

No refuge was given to any criminal, added the MQM leader.

People of Pakistan did not forget that MQM abandoned repatriation of stranded Pakistanis in Bangla Desh, instead of making deal for it with PPP. MQM has been enjoying power with PPP all along but never negotiated with PPP for this genuine cause.It has to prove that it is sincere with the slogan it raises and first test for it was enabling repatriation of stranded Pakistanis. Did not it fail in that test? On the other hand MQM thinks it is its to spoil peace in Karachi. It should leave masses to live with security and peace and stop coercing the masses and protecting the alleged murderers in the party. To demonstrate its sincerity, MQM needs to facilitate rangers to nab alleged murderers in its fold instead of creating political fuss.

Now let people cry the sindh cars, mohajair card or whatever card they wish. They are just proof why change in Pakistan will be difficult to achieve but with the resolve of our LEAs we will reach the top inshAllah.

Neither MQM nor Asma Jahangir support Taliban. Only PTI leadership does and calls Mullah Mansoor shaheed and we all know who supports PTI from behind the scenes. If Taliban are RAW agents then what is PTI and its handlers who support Taliban?

It first encourage give benefit by Indian Citizen Ship now they will be scholar like in Bangladesh and write against Army. They will join political parties or as top jobs in Sindh. The work will be get done through MQM TTP both are raw agent.

Peace must be restore at any cost. its the consequences of their past episode which is play roll. MQM can only blame them self. Mafia and blackmailing is not acceptable in civilized society. The fear and myth they created in Karachi must be neutralized for the sack of the peace.

Blackmail is its main tool put to good use all the time. In this present episode, blackmailing at its best. Rangers defamed for nothing.
