Clarification: Khursheed’s speech was telecast live
Shah had protested in the National Assembly earlier claiming his opening speech in the post-budget session
ISLAMABAD:
The protest of the Opposition Leader in National Assembly claiming his speech was not telecast on national television was “factually misplaced”. A government spokesman termed Khursheed Shah’s protest uncalled for, saying there was no truth in his statement. In a statement issued on Monday, he said the speech of Opposition Leader Khursheed Shah in the National Assembly was telecast live by PTV National channel. Shah had protested in the National Assembly earlier claiming his opening speech in the post-budget session was not telecast live despite assurances. Speaking on a point of order, he said the government had agreed to air his speech live but the promise was not fulfilled.
