
The technology park aims to bridge the gap between industry and universities, and to fuel the process of development work, said ICCBS director Prof Dr Iqbal Choudhary a meeting held at Dr Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD) on Monday.
The main objective of the park and incubation centre is to create and develop quality incubation process at ICCBS for high-tech business start-ups. The park will be built at a cost of Rs188 million.
Choudhary also said that the park will help in creating new jobs, uplifting the economy and speeding up the development of entrepreneurial ecosystem in Pakistan. At present, 20,000 square feet are being offered for start-up firms and entrepreneurs, he said, adding that priority will be given to startups that address the needs of large markets.
