Peshawar High Court Bar Association (PHCBA) has approved the annual budget worth Rs53.2 million for the year 2016-17 at a general body meeting held on Monday.
The meeting was attended by office-bearers and members of the bar.
As part of the budget, Rs1.3 million were allocated for welfare of the lawyers, under the head of endowment fund, while Rs1.5 million were reserved for car parking shed.
Besides, Rs1 million were allocated for purchase of computers and libraries for bars in other districts of the province, Rs2 million for upgradation of High Court Bar library in PHC, Rs1 million for training workshops and seminars of junior lawyers and Rs0.5 million were allocated for study tours of lawyers.
PHCBA President Muzammil Khan approved the budget and said that efforts would be undertaken to provide better facilities to the lawyers in the available budget.
