Export Policies: Diagnosis for policy recommendation
Seminar on “Diagnostic Study of Industrial and Handcrafts Clusters in Sialkot” held at the auditorium of SCCI
SIALKOT:
The Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) has conducted a diagnosis of industrial and handicrafts clusters in Sialkot district and the purpose of this study was to prepare cluster profiles, diagnosing cluster issues and policy recommendations for clusters based development with special focus on export-oriented clusters of Sialkot. This was stated by the planners and experts while addressing the participants of a seminar on “Diagnostic Study of Industrial and Handcrafts Clusters in Sialkot” held at the auditorium of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Saturday under the auspices of Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC). He told that the objectives of this consultancy was to prepare a roadmap and policy guidelines and the major components of study comprise of: profiling and mapping of clusters in Sialkot, identification of issues confronting these clusters and policy planning of interventions for uplifting of the clusters as well.
