CBFC allows 'Housefull 3' to release uncut in Pakistan
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel has been given a PG-13 rating

Pakistani cinema-goers can be assured that they won’t be missing out on any of Akshay Kumar and his gang’s rib-tickling antics from Housefull 3. The third instalment in the popular comedy franchise was given a Universal (U) rating by the Central Board of Film Censors (CBFC).
Corroborating the decision to The Express Tribune, CBFC chairperson Mobashir Hasan shared, “The panel has cleared the movie without any excisions.” To a question about whether there was any objectionable content present in the movie; Hasan assured that there was nothing wrong in the film. “There is nothing questionable or controversial present in the film that is why the panel has decided to give it a U rating.”
In Pakistan, the U rating is equal to the General (G) rating of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and allows admission to people of all ages. It indicates that there is nothing in the said film, that may offend parents when it is viewed by children. Hence, the current rating of Housefull 3 permits viewers of younger ages to enter cinemas without adult supervision across the country.

Housefull 3 is not the only movie to have been cleared by the CBFC without any excisions. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows was given a PG-13 rating without recommending any cuts. Elaborating upon the decision Hasan said, “It was a collective decision made by the panel keeping in mind the themes and action sequences in the film.” Unsurprisingly, the movie has also been given a PG-13 rating in North America. The decision to clear both the movies uncut would come as a relief to distributors, given that CBFC has lately been on a spree of banning films.
