Hazardous job: Three killed in oil tanker blast
Police and rescue workers shifted the bodies and the injured to Jinnah Hospital

At least three persons were killed and two others were wounded in an explosion at Steel Town area of the city on Wednesday night. Police officials said the victims were using welding torches to repair a tanker at the Zulfiqar Oil Terminal Workshop. SHO Ghulam Ahmed Shaikh said that five workers were busy in welding works when gas filled inside the oil tanker and exploded with the welding sparks. The explosion killed Sadiq, Irfan and Asif instantly and left Riaz and Masoom seriously injured. Police and rescue workers shifted the bodies and the injured to Jinnah Hospital. No case has been registered.
