
Headed by Justice Ahmed Ali Sheikh, the bench directed him to furnish surety of Rs500,000. Memon had approached the high court against alleged harassment by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The officer alleged that the NAB officials had initiated investigations into allegations of illegal allotment of land in 2009. In the inquiry, Memon is accused of having recommended the allotment in violation of laws.

The petitioner said the NAB officials were harassing him in connection with the alleged offence in which he had no role. Moreover, Memon apprehended that he may be taken into custody by the NAB. Therefore, he pleaded the court grant him bail and also direct the NAB to place in court the details of the case and evidence against him.
The bench granted him bail against the surety of Rs500,000 till August 10. Meanwhile notices were also issued to the NAB prosecutor general to file comments.
