Targeted? Retired army subedar shot dead  

Residents rushed him to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries

A retired subedar of the Pakistan Army was gunned down in a targeted attack in Faqirabad on Wednesday. Faqirabad ASP Wasim Riaz told The Express Tribune Rajwali was a resident of Shabqadar, Charsadda and belonged to the 12th Baloch Regiment of Pakistan Army, which was deployed in Waziristan. He said Rajwali retired from service in November 2015. The ASP added, “He was building a house in Razaq Town and was supervising the construction work.” The ASP added Rajwali was on his way to the site after purchasing food for labourers when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on him and fled the site. Residents rushed him to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The police official stated, “He was shot thrice but it does not look like an incident of target killing,” he said. “However, nothing can be said for certain at this point.” He said the victim’s family members had been informed about the incident.
