Hydropower project: Work on Golen Gol stepped up
The chairman inspected various sites of the project

Construction work on the 108-megawatt Golen Gol hydropower project has been expedited, while unit-1 of the project dedicated for Chitral district is expected to be commissioned in October 2017.
This was told to Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) Chairman Zafar Mahmood during his visit to the project site in Chitral district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
The chairman inspected various sites of the project including the dam, diversion tunnel, power house, switch yard and the transmission line to review the construction work. Speaking on the occasion, he said speedy completion of hydropower projects was a must to get rid of power shortages.
