Oath taking: ‘Students need to practice tolerance’

ISLAMABAD: Students need to practice tolerance in every field of their life and respect each other, Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Friday.

The former minister for information administered the oath taking ceremony of the newly elected SZABIST Student Council at Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology.

He remarked upon a student’s responsibility as a citizen and advised to refrain from any undue and unnecessary indulgence in the politics.

Whilst addressing the students at the ceremony Head of Campus Khusro Pervaiz Khan reiterated the need for exercising profound honesty in all areas of their lives and extended felicitations to the newly elected body of the student council.

The freshly elected council members took their pledges and vowed to execute their authorities for the greater good of SZABIST.

Arsalan took the oath as president while Hasnain was elected as the vice-president, Samiullah and Baseer took their places as general secretary and treasurer respectively.
