Secretary General Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) Mushahid Hussain Sayed has said that United States could possibly increase pressure on Pakistan for North Waziristan operation after the New York (NY), Time Square’s bomb conspiracy.
Talking to a private TV channel here on Wednesday, the PML-Q Secretary General said that the New York Time Square’s incident took place at a crucial time adding it is imperative to know about motivation behind this conspiracy.
Mushahid further said that the Washington has charged the mastermind of Time square bomb conspiracy with five allegations including Weapon of Mass Destruction (WMD) which would affect badly Pakistan and its citizens.
He asserted that this incident would also affect students in the USA.
The PML-Q Secretary General said that India would use this incident as propaganda against Pakistan and could possibly link it with Ajmal Kasaab. He said that relation between Pakistan and USA were not much improved and both sides are still facing lack of confidence.
He further said that the government must take initiative in order to decline possible pressure from USA adding that the US cannot make progress in the war against terrorism without Pakistan’s support.
He urged the government to send a delegation immediately to the US to present Pakistan’s point of view and convince the US Congress and media to sort out this issue.
