Contraband seized: ANF recovers 50kg of heroin
They also apprehended a suspect from the same building
KARACHI:
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), Sindh, claimed to have recovered 50kg heroin in three separate operations on Friday.
According to ANF officials, two suspects, who were travelling from Karachi to Jeddah, were intercepted and interrogated at Jinnah International Airport. The spokesperson said that during the search ANF officials recovered 2.15kg heroin from the suspects' luggage. The men were then formally arrested.
Separately, the force also recovered 7.8kg opium, 2.5kg heroin and 200kg hashish during a raid at a house in Lyari near Baloch School. The spokesperson also claimed to have arrested an accused man.
In another raid, ANF officials recovered 41kg heroin during a raid conducted at alHafeez Building near Masjid Hafzaan in Lyari. They also apprehended a suspect from the same building.
