Army chief lauds close coordination among Pakistan armed forces

General Raheel Sharif’s remarks came during his visit to Naval War College in Lahore

Army chief General Raheel Sharif lauded on Friday the close coordination among the country’s armed forces besides acknowledging support of the entire nation in achieving success during the continuing operation Zarb-e-Azb.

“With first hand war experience, operational employment, and state of combat readiness, our armed forces are fully capable and prepared to respond to the entire spectrum of threat,” a statement issued by the military’s media wing, ISPR, quoted the army chief as saying.

His remarks came during a visit to the Naval War College in Lahore, where he addressed the course participants.

General Raheel focused on the prevailing geo-strategic environment, security challenges and opportunities for Pakistan.


“Navy has a proud history of valour and sacrifices," he said. "As a fully vibrant and formidable force, Pakistan Nay has always lived up to the expectations of the nation in defending the maritime frontiers of Pakistan.”

The army chief particularly appreciated the close coordination between the three services.

“Together, we will uproot this menace and overcome all challenges facing Pakistan,” he said.

His remarks come a day after he said no military in the world was able to synergise effects as much as the Pakistan Army single-handedly has.
