LAHORE: Trade between the Netherlands and Pakistan has increased more than 20% in the last two years due to business friendly policies of the government, said Provincial Minister for Agriculture Dr Farrukh Javed. Speaking at the Agri-Trade conference, organised by the Embassy of Netherlands and Punjab Board of Investment and Trade, he said, “Many Dutch companies are already contributing to the Pakistani economy.” Since the Netherlands is the second largest exporter of agricultural produce in the world, there is great scope for collaboration, specifically with regards to dairy farming, Javed added. Netherlands Head of Trade Mission René van Hell said that it has a lot to offer to Pakistan, adding that it has developed unmatched agricultural solutions when it comes to dairy, horticulture, post-harvest and irrigation.
