Wheat purchase to end soon
The purchase of wheat will be completed by the end of the week, the deputy director said
BAHAWALPUR:
“We are set to meet the wheat purchase target of 746,000 tonnes in Bahawalpur district,” Region Food Deputy Director Chaudhry Muhammad Ajmal said at a meeting on Thursday. He said officials had distributed gunny bags throughout the district. “The wheat purchase cycle, too, will end soon.” He said 70 food centres had been set up in the Bahawalpur region. “We have ensured the distribution of gunny bags on merit.” The purchase of wheat will be completed by the end of the week, the deputy director said. “We have maintained an efficient complaint redress system. Each food centre has a complaint cell.”
