Drive safe: Four die in road accidents

A truck approaching from the opposite side rammed into their motorcycle

DERA GHAZI KHAN:  

Three people died in road accidents in Dera Ghazi Khan on Wednesday. Police said Muhammad Shahid Kaira, a resident of Jampur, was travelling to Dera Ghazi Khan city on a motorcycle with his friend Muhammad Akram. A truck approaching from the opposite side rammed into their motorcycle. Kaira died before he could be treated and Akram was badly injured. He was taken to Dera Ghazi Khan Teaching Hospital’s trauma centre. Police said the truck driver had fled.

Separately, Wahid Mehmood, Rizwan Shehzad, Muhammad Younas and Rehmat Fateh were travelling to Fort Munro on a motorcycle. A tractor trolley approaching from the opposite direction rammed into their motorcycle near the lake. Mehmood and Rizwan died before they could be treated. Rehmat and Younas were injured and were taken to Sakhi Sarwar Hospital for treatment.
