Anti-corruption watchdog arrests Balochistan's former finance adviser
Mir Khalid Langove is said to be involved in Mushtaq Raisani's corruption scandal, who is also in NAB custody

The top graft-buster rounded up on Wednesday former finance adviser to chief minister Balochistan Mir Khalid Langove following the Balochistan High Court (BHC) rejected his bail application in a corruption case.
According to reports, Langove was presented in the court today regarding his bail plea in an ongoing corruption scandal.
Balochistan finance secretary’s remand extended in NAB custody
The ex-finance adviser is said to be involved in the Mushtaq Raisani scandal, in which the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigators found more than Rs5 million in cash stashed in cartons at a bakery in Quetta last week.
Raisani, the then Balochistan finance secretary, was also arrested from his office on May 6 after NAB officials seized about Rs700 million in cash and jewellery from his residence.
As a result of the scandal, former CM Dr Abdul Malik Baloch said the party leadership had asked Langove to resign, prompting him to do so, adding that the procedures are followed in a legal way.

He said since the day the corruption incident had come to fore, he had been present with his colleagues in the house. "The opposition was also making false statements regarding Reko Diq project as he had made no dealings on it and the matter of the mega project is sub-judice."
