Preventive measures: ‘Adopt healthy lifestyle to avoid heart diseases’

The camp was jointly arranged by the NPC and PANAH for the families of journalists to create awareness

ISLAMABAD:
Heart diseases are preventable and controllable if risk factors are avoided and healthy lifestyle is adopted, Pakistan National Association of Heart (PANAH) President Maj-Gen Masoodur Rehman said while addressing the participants of a free medical camp at the National Press Club (NPC) here on Sunday.

The camp was jointly arranged by the NPC and PANAH for the families of journalists to create awareness about the causes, preventive measures and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

Rehman stressed the need for adopting simplicity in life and take a balanced diet to avoid cardiovascular diseases.


He suggested precautionary measure including avoid overeating, smoking and taking proper diet.

He said that PANAH will cooperate with NPC to organise campaigns to create awareness among the people against the heart diseases.
