Harassment: CCPO directed to suspend SHO
The court had ordered that an FIR be registered on the petitioner’s complaint
LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge directed the CCPO on Saturday to suspend the Nawab Town SHO for not complying with court orders. Advocate Arsalan Abid had filed the petition accusing the SHO of abducting, beating up and shaving the head of his employee, Shehzad. The court had ordered that an FIR be registered on the petitioner’s complaint.When police did not register an FIR, Abid had filed another petition requesting the court to order the department to comply with its earlier directive. The judge on Saturday directed the CCPO to suspend the SHO and start an inquiry against him. The CCPO was directed to submit a report by May 23.
