RAWALPINDI:
A security guard was shot and injured while resisting a bank robbery within the New Town police jurisdiction on Friday.
According to preliminary investigation, six masked robbers equipped with weapons broke into a private bank at Chandni Chowk and held the staff and customers hostage.
They looted Rs1.8 million cash from the bank and fled.
Before entering the bank, the robbers shot and injured security guard Zulfiqar.
The police registered a case against the robbers but have made no arrests or recoveries yet.
