KARACHI:

Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, has requested all the printing press operating in the metropolis to refrain from printing slips for Zakat, Fitrana and extortion collection.

“The Rangers raided a printing press and found slips of Zakat, Fitrana and extortion used to collect nearly Rs250 million to Rs300 million,” said a statement issued on Saturday by the Rangers spokesperson.

The statement did not, however, mention the name and location of the printing press where the paramilitary force conducted the raid. “All the owners of the printing presses are requested not to print such slips for the parties who, according to the Supreme Court, have militant wings and are involved in targeted killings and other crimes,” added the statement.
