Pakistan trio Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Bilal and Babar Masih remained unbeaten on day two of the Asian 6-Red Championship being in played in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Asif beat Afghanistan’s Mohammad Rais Senzahi 5-2, staging a comeback from 2-1 down.
The former IBSF World Champion won by scores of 09-49, 41-19, 23-39, 48-15, 71-00 (71), 51-06 and 43-10.
In hunt for medals, cueists land in UAE
Meanwhile, Babar registered a comfortable 5-1 win against UAE’s Mohammed Al Joaker and could have ended with a perfect score of 75 in the last frame, but missed by a single point.
Babar won by a scoreline of 45-0(45), 39-09, 37-26, 20-54, 46-04(46) and 74-0(74).
Meanwhile, Bilal also had a relatively untroubled outing as he hardly had to fight in his 5-0 thrashing of Bahrain’s Habib Subah, triumphing 39-01, 31-19, 49-13(45), 39-00 and 58-05 in what was a one-sided affair from start to finish.
