Free at last: Girl rescued from kidnappers in Hangu

HANGU:
The police rescued a teenage girl, who was abducted in Karachi, from Anar Cheena in Hangu on Wednesday. The kidnappers were subsequently arrested.

“Tehseenullah and Nabi Ghulam kidnapped the girl in Paposh Nagar, Karachi,” Saddar SHO said at a news conference in Hangu on Wednesday. “Her father registered a case against them.”

According to the SHO, police officials from Karachi sought assistance from personnel in Saddar, Hangu and they jointly began a search for the girl.

The girl was sent back to Karachi. Separately, a man was allegedly gunned down near Qazi Pump in Hangu. A police official told The Express Tribune the deceased has been identified as Sher Muhammad Khan.


“He was gunned down by unidentified men on Tuesday,” the official added.

In another incident, a woman died after she was hit by a speeding car near Bypass Road, Hangu. The driver fled the site.
