KARACHI:
A murder suspect recorded on Tuesday his confessional statement before a judicial magistrate, admitting that he killed his teenage sister in the name of honour.
Hayat Khan told District West judicial magistrate that he stabbed his 17-year-old sister, Sumera, to death in their house in Mominabad, Orangi Town, on April 28.
Khan admitted that he killed his sister because he found her talking to a boy on the doorstep and when he reached there, the boy fled away. He claimed he had repeatedly asked his sister not to go at the door, but she did not listen. Therefore, he said, he lost control in rage and killed her.

The judge sealed his statement to be sent to the anti-terrorism courts' administrative judge, who is hearing the matter due to the addition of sections of the Anti-Terrorism Act in the case. Inayatullah, the father of the suspect and the deceased, is also on remand with the police for allegedly instigating his son to commit the murder.
