ISLAMABAD:
Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid said on Monday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had spoken truth in the National Assembly while the opposition ran away from the House instead of giving a reply.

Talking to media persons outside parliament along with Minister for Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique, he said that the premier’s speech in the National Assembly had made the opposition speechless and they were left with no option but to escape from the House.

Pervaiz said that the prime minister had knocked out the opposition by bringing the facts regarding Panama leaks in his speech before the House. “PM truth knocked out the opposition lie,” he said. He said that the people were expecting that Imran Khan too would respond to the allegation in the media about his offshore company in his speech in the National Assembly but he walked out instead of telling the truth to the nation.

He said that instead of participating in the debate in the National Assembly, Imran Khan opted to walk out from the House as he had no truth to tell. Pervaiz said that Imran Khan himself had admitted that he adopted this practice for tax evasion.

He went on to say that the prime minister had accepted all demands of the opposition regarding constitution of a commission for investigating the Panama leaks, besides coming to the House.
