“It will have to accept the opposition demands regarding terms of reference (TORs) for a commission that will probe the scandal,” Sarwar said in a statement.
He said it seemed that the incumbent rulers did not support accountability and efforts to curb corruption. “Everyone has taken to the streets against the government’s incompetence. We back the protest by the teachers’ union for their rights.”
He asked the government to give up its stubborn approach and accept the opposition’s demand for a fair investigation of Panama Papers. Sarwar criticised the government for not meeting the demands pressed by the Punjab Teachers’ Union.
