The road home: Eight abducted workers released

Eight abducted workers, including three from FATA Development Authority, were finally set free after being kidnapped on March 10, 2016.
The workers were abducted from Toi Khula tehsil in Wana, South Waziristan Agency. "We have information they were set free, but have not contacted them yet," a tribal elder in Toi Khula said.s
Political administration officials say they do not have confirmed information about the release and these were just reports. Some say they had been released and reached Toi Khula, while others said they were near the Pak-Afghan border. Three of the kidnapped people were employees of FDA and the other five were locals working with the authority. They were travelling in two cars. One of the vehicles was also taken by the kidnappers.
FDA’s team was on its way to inspect Chutangi Dam which is under construction in Zermilan area of Toi Khula. They were taken to undisclosed location.
