KARACHI: Like the all-star cast for Nabeel Qureshi’s upcoming film, Actor in Law, the music talent featuring on the movie’s soundtrack is no less. A few weeks after Asrar recorded a song for the movie, Atif Aslam stepped in to sing the title track of the movie.

Confirming the news to The Express Tribune, musiac producer Shani Arshad said, “The song is basically a romantic ballad that will be picturised on the lead actors Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat.” When asked to tell the name of the song, the producer replied, “All in due time. We have chosen quite off-beat and interesting names for the songs so we want to keep it a surprise.”

I have said no to Coke Studio: Atif

The song will mark the first time that Arshad and Aslam will collaborate on a song. Regarding the experience of working alongside the Aadat-singer, Arshad stated, “It is a privilege as Atif is very selective about singing for Pakistani films and he’s only sang for Bol and Ho Mann Jahaan.”

People think I don't want to act but that's not true: Atif Aslam

Aside from Aslam and Asrar, other singers featuring on the Actor in Law soundtrack include Mohsin Abbas Haider and Shani Arshad. “I have also done a little playback singing for the movie and Mohsin [Abbas Haider] will also be recording a sad song.”
