He said Rehman could not secure any slot during the election for the union body
LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday sought comments from the Old Anarkali SHO on a petition filed by the Pakistan Irrigation Employees Power Union (PIEPU) central chairman seeking a case against a former PIEPU office-bearer for threatening to kill other union members. Petitioner Mehboob Ahmed Nazish submitted that after the death of PIEPU central president Muhammad Sharif Khan, Attiqueur Rehman had started introducing himself as the union’s central president. He said union members had objected to this. He said Rehman could not secure any slot during the election for the union body. He said the suspect had been threatening to kill some of the union members. He requested the court to direct the SHO to register an FIR against Rehman.
