Student support: UMT provides scholarships worth Rs1 billion
Scholarship applications are accepted in all academic disciplines at 13 schools of UMT
LAHORE:
The University of Management and Technology (UMT) has granted scholarships worth Rs1 billion to its students over a decade. Rector Hasan Sohaib Murad said the UMT had undertaken academic initiatives to address key social and economic challenges of the country. Scholarship applications are accepted in all academic disciplines at 13 schools of UMT. Academics and Quality Assurance Director Ibrahim Hasan Murad said that a majority of university’s students were from middle class.
“The recipients of scholarships come from Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sindh as well as the Punjab are studying here,” he said.
